Meet the Staff:

Keith Chan  -  M.P.T. , C.K.T.P

Keith has over 10 years experience as a certified personal trainer accredited by NSCA and Cooper Institute and was a Tier 3 personal trainer in Equinox Health Club for over 5 years.

Keith is a NYS licenced physical therapist and he has been working with a variety of patient populations which include: meniscus repair, ACL repair, petellofemoral dysfunction, plantar fasciitis, shoulder impingement, rotator cuff injuries, partial shoulder replacement, SLAP tears, bursitis, lumbar/cervical strain, cervical and lumbar radiculopathy, back and neck pain, etc.

Throughout his career as a physical therapist, Keith has completed numerous continuing education courses, including trigger point release and myofasical release technique, Mckenzie approach in the treatment of cervical and lumbar pain and injuries, Maitland approach in the treatment of the spine, peripheral extremities and core/lumbar stabilization technique, Mulligan’s manual technique in the treatment of the spine and peripheral extremities, and Kinesiotaping of the injured athlete.

Keith is fluent in speaking Chinese and English.

Beth Simoes  -  M.P.T., C.P.I.

Beth is a NY State licensed Physical Therapist and Certified Pilates Instructor. She received her Masters of Physical Therapy from Hunter College. She specializes in pilates, dance & sports medicine, injury prevention and orthopeadics. She has over 5 years experience incorporating Pilates as a means of therapeutic rehabilitation, to assist her patients attain optimal health.

 

 

Emily Weiss  -  D.P.T. , C.K.T.P

An athlete from the start, Emily earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York University in 2009. She is certified in Beginner Mat Pilates and is a certified Kinesiotape Practitioner.

Day in and day out, she combines her extensive physical therapy knowledge and her personal experience as an avid marathon runner and cross fit devotee to provide the most optimal care for her patients. Emily has worked with a wide variety of patients including orthopedic and post-surgical rehabilitation.

 

 

Jenna Cangiano –  D.P.T.

Dr. Cangiano is a New York state board certified licensed physical therapist.  She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Quinnipiac University and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Touro College in 2010.  Her experience includes designing therapeutic programs for pre and post natal women, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions and post surgical rehabilitation.  She is skilled  in therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular rehabilitation, balance and proprioception and manual manipulation and mobilizations.

Dr. Cangiano is CPR/AED and First Aid certified and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Currently she is working towards a certification in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, which is the next generation of clinical protocols that are designed to restore and stabilize locomotor function as organized by Pavel Kolar of The Prague School.

 

 

Kasey Johnson  -  D.P.T., C.P.I

Kasey earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University, with advanced coursework in clinical orthopedics. Kasey attended the University of Virginia for her undergraduate studies, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree with distinction, in biology with a minor in dance. At the University of Virginia, Kasey choreographed and performed for two dance companies as well as directed and produced several drama department dance shows. Kasey is a certified Pilates instructor through the Kane School of Core Integration in NYC and enjoys incorporating a Pilates based treatment method.

James Hopwood  -  P.T. aide

James is a recent graduate from New York University’s College of Arts and Sciences. While originally pursuing a career in marketing a change of heart prompted a fresh start in physical therapy. James enjoys to rock climb, work out and travel in his spare time.

Eric Garcia  -  Personal Trainer and P.T. aide

Eric is a Personal Trainer and a Physical Therapist Aide. After 5 years of Personal Training, he moved to New York from Orlando, Florida in 2014 to follow his passion and grow a career in the Physical Therapy Industry.  Eric is certified in NSCA (National Strength Conditioning Association) and NPTI (National Personal Training Institute) and currently studying to major in Physical Therapy with a minor in Nutrition.

Before moving to New York for Physical Therapy, Eric ventured off and began his own Personal Training work gaining his own clientele at a private gym to focus on each of his clients fitness and nutritional needs.

Being a natural athlete, Eric has extensive knowledge in understanding the body and how it works to assist the Physical Therapists on a day to day basis.


 

 

Pauline Peralta

 

Pauline Peralta  –  Certified Medical Billing Specialist

Pauline is a Certified Medical Billing Specialist from US Career Institute
and a Graduate of Communications from St. Paul University.

She attained the necessary skills and knowledge while working in the general public. She worked as a Human Resource Director in GlenCrest Nursing Home and Flying Foods Group.

Currently, she handles all insurance questions and supports the function of the office.

She loves swimming and horseback riding.

Pauline is always available to answer any patient billing concerns, questions,
and is able to schedule new and follow-up appointments.
